Japan office holds number of employees and is looking to expand its business and sizes in Japanese market.
The position of Business Development Manager plays a key role in the execution of the Tokyo office business plan and particularly focusing on the Tokyo Key Clients and Industry Group's strategic business development and marketing initiatives. This is mainly a business strategy planning and implementation role. It doesn't require any sales or direct regular client interaction.
Reporting to the Head of BDMC, this position is part of the In-Market Tokyo Business Development, Marketing & Communications team, and requires collaboration with team members across the Firm to provide proactive, reliable and timely advice and services.
The role is both operational and strategic, and a 'can do' attitude and flexible approach is a must. The ideal candidate will have highly attuned influencing skills, excellent interpersonal and project management skills and the ability to flex style to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, business development and/ or client development
Experience in a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred but not essential
Degree in business, marketing or equivalent
Experience in business strategy and internal planning and execution of projects
Excellent English and Japanese reading, writing and verbal skills
High degree of proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
Attention to detail, methodical and high quality task delivery
