Job Description
- Ensure Environment, health and safety compliance with Japan regulatory requirements and global/regional requirements
- Ensure EHS training plan in place and ensure its implementation
- Lead risk assessment (HAZOP/JHA) for entire site and take actions to mitigate the risks.
- Document performed work, all check sheets completed in timely manner and track the action to ensure timely closing
- Facilitate the EHS programs (e.g. 0 accident, 5S, Healthcare, EHS patrol, tool box meeting) and carry-out routine EHS meeting with documentation
The Successful Applicant
- University degree or equivalent diploma in EHS or Chemical engineering
- Great experience in EHS manager area within a large chemical manufacturing site
- Knowledge about Japanese national and local laws and regulations
- Fluent in Japanese, English communication both verbal and written is preferred
- Proven leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to both work collaboratively and to influence
- Strong ownership and performance driven, high integrity and transparency.
- Highly developed interpersonal communications skills
