The company provides critical on-line information to a broad professional customer base and is highly respected for their quality service in the markets they operate in. The company is well established and successful in Japan.

Job Description
Reporting to the National Sales Manager you will predominantly focus on maintaining and building strong relationships with key accounts. You will also be responsible for growing sales revenues via new business development and increasing product sales into existing clients. The role involves extensive face to face contact with clients, competitor analysis, reporting on market trends and attending trade fairs as well as assisting in planning sales strategy and sales reporting and forecasting.

The Successful Applicant
Suitable candidates will be bilingual Japanese/English with a proven ability to develop and maintain close relationships with customers. You must also have experience in a B2B sales environment with a strong motivation and commitment to achieving sales targets. Knowledge of on-line sales or selling into the academic, healthcare or medical industry would be valued highly, although more important are strong communication skills, a consultative sales style and experience in growing sales revenue in a competitive market. You should also be willing to undertake travel within Japan and occasionally internationally.
