職務内容

• The management of projects from start till end, providing leadership and direction to the project team.
• Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Develop project timelines, milestones and deliverables along with associated estimates for resources.
• Track and report on the progress to project team members and stakeholders at a local and regional level. l Manage and report on the project budget and financials
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and partners, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Provide assistance in the development and execution of test strategies and plans to efficiently and effectively validate system functionality
• Working with the technical leads, the project manager must understand the client problem being addressed, the definition and review of the solution, and the proper planning of team efforts to create the solution.

理想の人材

• Extensive (5+ years) project management with formal software development lifecycle process experience
• Extensive knowledge of the General Insurance industry (5+ years), preferably in Japan
• Solid expertise in project methodology, PMP certification preferred
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills in Japanese and English
• Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Planview Enterprise (preferred)
• Familiar with Enterprise technologies and languages, including Java, Web Services, WebSphere, Jboss (or similar), Oracle, DB2
• Professionalism and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and peers
• Team Oriented, identify issues in the project, work to resolve and escalate when necessary to senior mgmt
• Experience working with vendors and major packages a plus
• Prior experience managing large implementations a plus
• Experience implementing projects in IT specifically client/server and web solutions
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
