About Our Client
Our client is a global financial group with excellent presence worldwide and is one of the leading foreign financial groups in the local market.

Job Description

• Plan and lead audits of the Markets business as well as participate in other audits of the team / other audit programs
• Monitor the risk environment and assess the risks of selected business entities through the Business Monitoring process as well as reporting findings and recommending appropriate solutions between review cycles
• Act as a resource to the business in recommending appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues
• Be a subject matter expert in at least one key product or related area of the Markets business such as Structured Derivatives /Commodities/Treasury / Market Risk management /Product Control-Finance-Operations etc and leverage this knowledge into a leadership role during review participation
• Develop effective working relationships with senior business management and strong understanding of the business’ emerging risks
• Have ability to identify key emerging business risks and be able to develop a risk based audit approach.

The Successful Applicant

• Prior audit knowledge is not a requirement however the candidate should have a background in business control areas or experience of risk assessment techniques
• Ability to manage and drive multiple projects in a results oriented environment
• Ability to understand diverse products of the firm and its operations, related risks, and regulatory and other external factors facing the Businesses
• In-depth understanding of the relationship between the Capital Markets/FICC Business and support units within a financial institution, impact on the overall control environment and audit approach
• Excellent knowledge of Capital Markets/FICC /Equities Products and processes
• Good leadership skills in leading review team comprising colleagues within and outside the firm and guests from the business
• Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
• Extensive experience in Capital Markets / FICC/Equities internal audit or business / control function
• Extensive in-business experience in Capital Markets / FICC /Equities business & or related control functions
• Relevant professional Financial / accounting certification would be an advantage
