Server Engineer (Tier 1/Tier 2)

About Our Client
Our client is a London based company that serves media, manufacturing, carrier, and financial services as its key customer segments, and offers all customers bilingual support in Japanese and English.
In this position, the candidate will handle Tier 1/Tier 2 supports in regards to incident/change/problem management, Service Requests and related activities for server, VMs, OS, storage/backup and orchestration. Manage escalation to Tier 3 support and/or vendor support (including DC) across all geographies (London, New York, Tokyo) Weekend/Holiday, some Night shift work is required (but is flexible. Nightshift will count as 2x working hours)
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate would be:
5+ years experience in IT (operation /integration / technical support / escalation management)
3+ years experience in Tier 2 NOC for service provider / systems integrator
Management of global Data Centre vendors
Technical Requirements: Linux OS (RHEL6), VMware Hypervisor ( ESX 5.5, VCP5 level or equivalent)
Unix Shell Script works. Experience configuring NFS, iSCSI Hands on experience in Cisco UCS series, EMC Isilon, VNX with Unispher Use of orchestration tools (vCenter, vRealize, UCS Director)
What's on Offer
Weekend/Holiday, some Night shift work is required. There will only be 38 hour work weeks with little to no overtime. Nightshift will count as 2x normal working hours, so it's possible to work only 2-3 days a week.
