About Our Client
The client is a world famous action sports brand. They design and manufacture sports apparel, footwear and accessories. In Japan, they have enjoy a lot of success, especially with their locally designed products.
In Japan, they have a medium sized office with about 100 employees, located in downtown Tokyo.
Analyze & understand the sports market opportunity for the brand.
Determine each seasonal product line up to maximize revenue & profitability
Develop market requirements for future product releases based on market trends, competitor issues.
Set up effective and realistic merchandising plan for seasons including delivery, Suggested retail price & COGS.
Measure product business performance against plan.
Analyze the results of indent and sell through by season
Input Japan needs to global and manage the Japan line
Effectively guide product designer to balance design, cost and profit.
Effectively communicate with other departments to feedback their needs to product.
Select the product designed in US, Australia, or France to introduce in Japan market.
Locally source product needed for Japan market
Actively involve in product sourcing projects.
The Successful Applicant
3-20 years of apparel or footwear MD experience, and abundant knowledge about product development.
Strong ability to analyze data and find new market trend
Good communication skill with several department and global team
Familiar with PC (Excel, Word and Power point)
Japanese and English skill is mandatory. Especially reading and writing
