About Our Client
A global pharmaceutical company focused on eye care, neurosciences, medical dermatology, medical aesthetics,enhancement, obesity intervention and urologics
Provide medical and technical advice to the sales and marketing teams, market access, clinical and regulatory affairs staff as needed.
Work closely with Region Medical Director to set priorities, strategy and activities of the Medical Affairs in Japan for Facial Aesthetic and Implant.
Develop and execute against a Medical Affairs plan to support physicians and other medical professionals. Work closely with the regional Medical Affairs team to ensure alignment of own activities and those of his/her direct report with those of the region.
Work closely with our team to design and conduct effective training sessions and workshops for new products/indications, and provide educational opportunities for doctors to understand the product profile, relevant scientific and medical data, appropriate patient populations, technical aspects of product administration, identification and management of adverse events, and treatment outcomes.
Through conducting field visits, improve our understanding of market, key stakeholders and customers. Identify key researchers, physicians and others critical to knowledge base relevant to the success of each of our products. Facilitate greater understanding of medical practice patterns, educational and training needs; set priorities and develop set of activities with the key stakeholders.
Present and communicate the scientific perspective and vision at customer meetings; work closely with the Medical Societies and key stakeholders in Japan regarding opportunities for the participation. As appropriate, provide support and input to meeting agendas. Ensure maintenance of key relationships with physicians and administrators of specialty societies.
Facilitate training to field sales personnel and others to ensure up to date knowledge of our products and relevant disease states and conditions.
The Successful Applicant
Successful completion of tertiary qualifications - Doctor of Medicine Degree required
Minimum of 5 years experience within a clinical practice
Minimum of 3 years experience working within a pharmaceutical or commercial working environment
People management experience
Experience in a academic research, regulatory/scientific, or medical liaison environment
Overseas medical training or work experience highly desirable
Strong presentation and teaching skills, and ability to share information with others
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships; to lead, engage and influence
Strong clinical, scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge
Strong analytical skills, with ability to analyse clinical and pharmacoeconomic data
Ability to learn and convey clinical and non-clinical technical information effectively
Ability to travel outside of Sydney metropolitan area 7-10 days per month and up to 1 international trip per 3-4 months
