About Our Client
The fastest growing premium wine merchants in Asia. Established in 2007 in London, the Company now operates throughout P.R. China, Hong Kong, Macau and South East Asia through its office in Singapore. Recently a very famous luxury jewelry maker's chairman has taken a major stake in the business and the board of Directors alongside the founder and Chairman due to his deep understanding of the luxury market and his understanding of the Asia market.
In late 2015 the Company launched their Kuala Lumpur office and are in the process of now opening their Thailand and Myanmar offices currently.
The business has grown from 1 person to 100 people in the last 2 years, headquartered in Singapore.
They have three pillars (sales channels) which are High Net Worth individuals, Corporate and Trade. Their vision is to hire a General Manager and then subsequently hire a Business Development Manager for each of these pillars before building out the office further.

Rather than buying en primeur direct from the chateaux, where purchasers will have to wait for the wines to be released and then for them to mature to peak drinking condition, The Company aims to present bottles that are ready to drink now and have categorized them into 3, 4 and 5 star wines. *Achieve targets set by the board of the Board
*Be responsible for the profit & loss of the company in Japan
*Be responsible to develop strategies (long and short term) to drive sales and business development actives for the Company in Japan
*Be responsible for expanding the business through networking and relationship management
*Be responsible for hiring, training and managing employees across all functions within the Japan's office
*Be responsible in overseeing the day to day operations of the office and activities of the various departments like Finance, Logistics, Human Resource, Marketing and Information Technology
*Ensure that all activities and operations performed are in compliance with the local legislations and laws governing business operations
The Successful Applicant
*Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in sales or sales & operations (Experience in Japan is a must)
*Experience in luxury or premium consumer goods
*Minimum 5 years' experience at a senior level managing a team or teams
*Strong Analytical mindset and a thorough understanding of Sales and Operations
*Strategic and Results oriented with experience in managing budget, P&L and KPI's
*Good knowledge of wine and brand(s)
*Possess own network in Japan and understand Japan's customers' requirements
*Fluent in English and Japanese Language
