About Our Client
Our client is a US based international consumer business. They currently have more than 1300 employees in Japan and a fast moving business environment.
Reporting to Brand and Communications director, the communication lead will be focusing on internal communication and handle external media relations at adhoc basis.
Build and steward the company's corporate reputation while developing and implementing an external communications strategy that is in line with the corporate vision, Brand and business objectives.
Developing and driving internal communications strategies to ensure message consistency and employee engagement across the organization as it continues to transform its fast-paced, entrepreneurial business.
Responsible for inspiring employees and enhancing their knowledge of the company's business and Brand strategy, financial performance, product initiatives, global expansion and their role in contributing to the long-term success in the business while building a culture of energy, excitement and fun.
Direct and manage relationships with local communities including local authorities, businesses and naming rights partners.
The Successful Applicant
A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications/public and media relations, ideally working with international organizations.
Open to agency background candidates.
Native fluency in Japanese and excellent command of English language, written and spoken.
Very Strong writing and translation skills between Japanese and English.
Hands on working style and flexible attitude, able to handle requests upon short notice.
