About Our Client
My client is a technology company focusing on tangible superiority in their technologies. They pride themselves on their fast growth which is due to communicating strong technology in a simple and direct manner.
Marketing within this company is to get people excited and talk about our technologies and engineering.
Japan is one of the most important countries for my client not only due to its sizeable business but also strategic importance of the very competitive electric appliance market.
The brand team is responsible for a category business from its top-bottom line. Needs to work as a true business leader for the business.
The responsibilities are various,
-Important Project managements, such as New Product Launch, Major marketing campaigns, working with various functional leaders, 3rd party partners to deliver plans and executions with high quality, on time.
-Consumer insights, market understanding, channel understanding in both qualitative and quantitative ways. Influence global team with solid understanding of both Japan and difference from other markets.
-New technology launches. Success of new technology in market is the biggest business driver for my client. Very high quality executions, from products to in-store executions, are required.
-Media & creative plans and executions, working very closely with media agency and global creative team.
-Channel strategy and merchandising. Need to be highly involved with local sales team, understand store executions by channel.
-Working very closely with the Group (Global category team) to set plans and implement executions, aligning to the group strategies.
The Successful Applicant
*More than 3 years' experience in a marketing/trade marketing role as a true project leader, not only as a functional marketing/trade marketing role but also a multi-functional project leader
*Experience in multimedia strategy, plan, and executions, especially good knowledge in digital media such as search, email, digital partners, affiliate etc.
*Experience of managing and maximizing effectiveness with retail (trade) partners. Customer engagement, in-store POS, driving effective conversion in-store.
*Experience in a beauty environment is preferable. Need high interests in beauty industry to enjoy exploring the beauty industry / consumer insights beyond electric appliance category.
*As personal capability
*Fluent English skill, need to negotiate, push & pull, agree & disagree in high level English communication.
*Very high intellectual skills, organizing priorities, short, long term requirements at the same time
*Effective, Persuasive, yet Collaborative communication skills, both in English & Japanese, to inside & outside partners
*Multi project handling skills with hands-on attitude
